It has a strong mint fragrance but I do not find it unpleasant. I cleanse and scrub my face and then apply it onto my face. Upon application, the mask feels very soothing and refreshing. Also, you will feel a tingling sensation which is normal.
You will notice dark spots on your face when the mask has dried up. For me, I notice that those dark spots are more on areas which get oily easily. For example, nose and cheek areas near to my nose. This is good as it means that the mask is sucking up all the oils and impurities from your face!
This mask usually take around 15 minutes to 20 minutes to dry up and then I will remove it with warm water. Just need a few splash of water to get it off. Fast and easy removal. Unlike some masks which require me to spend more than 5 minutes and many rounds of wiping to get off.
Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque does exactly what it claims. it sucks up all the oil on my face! My pores look smaller too! My skin feels squeaky clean and rejuvenated. It does rinse away some, but not all, blackheads and helps in loosening up other stubborn ones for easy extraction.
Some people find it good in drying up their pimples. However, it does nothing to my pimples with one 15 - 20 minutes masking session. I tried it using it as a overnight spot treatment and it helps in making my pimples slightly smaller and flatter. To completely get rid of them, I would need to apply this spot treatment for more than 3 nights.
I use it twice a week. It really helps in controlling the oil on my face. Clogged pores are also minimized! =)
Remember, to tone and do a moisturizing mask afterwards. It would be too drying without moisturizing your skin properly after this.
It comes in a very big tube! 226.8g at 11 dollars. Friendly on my wallet, it lasts for months! I got mine from drugstore spree. This may not be the cheapest price out in the market. Try gmarket and ebay.
