Review: Avene Very High Protection Spray

My Holy Grail sunblock on days when I need to be exposed to sunlight for long hours! Avene Very High Protection Spray!

Description: Very high sun protection for sensitive skin. Broad UVB and UVA protection. Water resistant.

It comes in a 200ml bottle at $40.70 dollars with a spf 50+. I used it for both my face and body.
If you have easily tanned skin, you may want to consider this. I understand the pain as I have easily tanned skin. I get dark just being under the sun for 15 minutes. >_>

But with this product, you don't have to be afraid of getting out in the sun! Last year, my bf planned a day at Universal Studios to celebrate my birthday with two of my good friends. We went to Universal Studios for one whole day from early morning 8 plus to evening 6 plus. I knew that one day fun at Universal Studios would mean a few months misery of dark skin for me.

Before stepping out of the house, I applied a thick layer onto my face, arms and legs. By the way, I wore sleeveless top and shorts on that day. And I reapplied it one more time after a few hours. Miraculously, my skin color remained the same at the end of the day. I thought that it was because the sun wasn't that strong.

After 2 days later, I was out with my gal friend who went to Universal Studios with me. I noticed that she turned very very dark, like charcoal brown. So i asked her and she told me it was due to that day at Universal Studios. I was shocked for both of us applied sunblock, went to the same place and exposed to the sun for the same amount of time. The only difference was that she applied a different brand of sunblock. So the only reason I did not get tanned was because of Avene Very High Protection Spray!! oh boy, it really saved my life!!

However, I do not use it for daily usage such as going to school. I find it a tad too sticky for me. For body, I feel very uncomfortable after applying. It makes me feel very warm and sweat more than usual as the sunblock just stay on the surface of my skin. Like there's a layer of film. For face, I feels very oily and my face looks very shiny. I do not think it's suitable for face usage due to the risk of getting clogs.

Nevertheless, I would still wear this sunblock when I need to be out in the sun for long hours as this is the only sunblock that prevents me from getting tanned. Have to sacrifice for the sake of beauty! Hee.

So my advice is to use it for body only. Buy it if you are required to stay outdoors for long and you do not want to get tanned because of that. Do not buy it if you can't stand greasy sunblock! Also, don't buy it if you are always indoor for the price is too expensive and spf is too high for that purpose.
